September Luncheon

April Luncheon

March GPS Workshop Event

Instead of the standard luncheon, this month Dr. Jiti Gupta of OSU has invited the Dayton ION Section members to a GPS Workshop at the Pfahl Conference Center on March 17, 2011 from 9:00AM to 12:30AM. After which, the Section will met at the neighboring Blackwell hotel for lunch (attendees responsible for cost of lunch).

February Luncheon

The monthly luncheon will be held on February 10, 2011 at 11:30AM at the Hope Hotel at Wright-Patterson AFB in the Mustang Room. Lt Halit Oktay will present the work he is doing at AFIT which augments GPS with airborne pseudolites to improve the navigation solution when a limited number of satellites are in view.

January Luncheon

The Dayton Section January luncheon will be held on January 13th at 11:30AM in the Mustang Room at the Hope Hotel located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This month’s guest speaker will be Austin Smith, an MTSi engineer, he will be speaking about integrated navigation system modeling and simulation.

November Luncheon

Join us for our monthly luncheon to be held on November 18, 2010 at 11:30AM in the Mustang Room at the Hope Hotel at Wright-Patterson AFB. Eric Vinande, a researcher at AFRL Sensors Directorate, will be speaking about his his PhD dissertation topic about using MEMS inertial sensors to overcome urban GPS challenges.

On Friday, April 23 the Dayton Section will be meeting at Ohio University. The day’s events included faculty/student pretensions, a lunch, a tours of Stocker Center, the Academic & Research Center, the Avionics Engineering Center’s Hanger, and the McFarland Building. The day begins at 10:00AM and will conclude around 2:30.

Major Jeremiah Shockley will be speaking about his experiences with the 746th Test Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base where he oversaw navigation testing including GPS denial and flying operations
